Tower is an architectural structure and journey designed for the screen and the visual vocabulary of the cinema. Using CG style camera passes and cinematic techniques, such as the slit screen tunnel effect from 2001, the structure is explored incrementally, presenting a myriad of possibilities for its form. Revealed only briefly in its entirety, the materially ambiguous structure is navigated internally and externally through multiple angles and orientations, altering our standard physical experience of architecture, while still revealing an elevated structure that evokes spaces of great social and cultural significance. Hundreds of multicolor, intersecting cubes are arranged cylindrically in a tower formation made of outlined translucent facets that flicker and shimmer throughout the single take journey. The minimalist electronic score begins with a series of evolving tones that alongside the visuals gradually builds up to a synthetic ecstatic finale for the last flythrough.
